Why would I start a blog on World of Warcraft? Am I a great player? No, not really. I'm not terrible, but I'm not the gal that's going to change a raid with my brilliant heals or mind-blowing dps. Honestly, I probably don't have anything to add to make you a better player. But really, there are plenty of others out there who can. I tip my hat to them.
What do I have to add? Of substance? Uhhhhh, not a whole lot. However, I like to write and I'm pretty good at it. The whole WoW universe is ripe with material. Everyday I see, hear or experience something in the game or in the community which triggers a need to talk about it. I'm opinionated. I don't expect anyone to agree with me. I have my own perspective on the game. Some may find themselves saying, "amen, sister" or "NOOOOOB" but that's fine. Part of what draws me to Warcraft is the great mosaic of personalities playing.
I started playing in January 2010 kinda by accident. My son had been playing for years. Neither one of us can remember exactly when but I do know it was well be for Burning Crusade. I never had any interest in the game. I was more of a console girl. Zelda, Mario, that kind of thing. Also, I love the city building games: Caesar III and that whole line and SimCity (I just started on the Sims only because my phone came with a mobile version). MMORPG's were not my thing. My son decided he was done with the game. But he told me this after my payment had already gone through. I cancelled the account but was stuck with six months of game time.
I tried. I figured I would tire of it within a day. But as y'all know, that's not how it works. Within a week I was hooked. I got myself a disc priest (she is still my main) and played way too much, boring my son with details of my adventures. I can only imagine now how grating that must have been to him.
I think I've played pretty much everyday since then. Just when I think I'm bored I find something that captures my fancy and go back to playing. This is more of a journal about what I think and feel about the game. I'll also pass along links or nuggets of information about the game or how to improve your game when I can. I'm a Gemini so I tend to bounce around from topic to topic. And if you have a link, blog, etc. you think I'd like or you want to share, please, please, please go right ahead.
